How often do I need to change my air filter?

There's no universal standard for how often you need to change your filter, needs can vary widely by household.  There are different factors that influence the change frequency required, such as; your HVAC system, the dimensions of your filter, how many humans are living in the house and do you have any pets.  A household with with a pet(s) will likely have to change their filters more often compared to someone without pet(s).  The size of the pet and how much it sheds can also be a determining factor.

Changing your filters more frequently leads to cleaner air, a healthier home habitat and lower energy use. We recommend changing your filters every three months at a bare minimum. However, households with children, pets, respiratory or wellness concerns should all consider changing them more often.
